The relatives of young people missing after a deadly fire at a bar in a Swiss winter destination are facing an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and requesting any details about their children publicly.

The blaze engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Circulated video show the ceiling igniting as bottles with fireworks are held aloft.

Emergency services have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the those who perished of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and injured another over a hundred. Officials stated on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to identify the remaining few.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been posting on online platforms to plead for information about their missing relatives who were at the bar that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing

The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his family.

The resident of Lutry near the city, explained to a publication that she had gone back to the city to check whether he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the equivalent search in the capital, but was unsuccessful.

"It feels like a terrible dream, a nightmare. The options are finding my son in the morgue, or I find him in a serious state. It's horrific," she told the paper.

She explained that some of his peers had been discovered with injuries covering nearly half their bodies. "There are no words; they went through hell."

The Italy's foreign ministry has confirmed that a number of of its citizens have not been located.

Included in that group is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old sportsman, originally from Genoa but now residing in the UAE.

The Italian Golf Federation has said that he is deceased, without mentioning the fire, honoring a "talented young man who carried with him dedication and authentic values."

His father, is quoted as saying that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An official spokesperson has stated that a official announcement of his death is not yet.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also unaccounted for. His mother said that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the venue.

"Someone with him told me they fled after the fire erupted and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he lost sight of him," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.

One of his teachers commented, "I remember his kindness and positive demeanor, coupled with great responsibility. He would frequently offer to get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to sources.

Her sibling has shared an appeal on social media, saying the relatives has had "no updates" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.

Officials from her country of origin say they are actively engaged with the situation.
